Carol Runge: Director, Co-producer, Narrator, Additional Photography

Carol Runge is a 54-year-old mother. She lives with her husband, Howard, and their three children in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. Carol is of Italian decent, and is Roman Catholic. She received a BA from Wellesley College in 1977 and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut in 1989.

Although Carol has had no formal training in video production, she found to her surprise she had been given a natural acuity for filmmaking, a gift which she used in cooperation with the inspiration of Our Blessed Mother. Carol has a deep and unusual faith due to severe abuse she suffered during her young life. She and her family have consecrated their lives to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and plan to make more films according to Our Lady's wishes. In March of 2009, Carol and her daughter, Catherine, completed their newest film intended for television entitled "Listen, My Children: The Fatima Message.”

 

Catherine Runge Ceigersmidt: Producer, Cinematographer, Video Editor, Mezzo-soprano

Catherine Runge is a 26-year-old filmmaker from Northern Virginia. Catherine graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Shenandoah University Conservatory in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music degree in classical voice, and a minor in mass communications. She sang in the Shenandoah Conservatory and Chamber choirs as an alto, performing in such prestigious venues as the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Italy and St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy. She is also a member of The Washington Chorus, a Grammy Award winning choral group based in Washington, DC. She has performed among their ranks in concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she serves as a cantor for Roman Catholic masses and weddings.

While in college, Catherine discovered her love of filmmaking at a local community cable TV station, where she gained a wealth of hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of production. Catherine won a 2005 Telly Award for her first documentary, "Young Fury," and became the first student at Shenandoah University to receive this honor. "Young Fury" premiered on her university campus and was regionally broadcast on Winchester Community Television. Catherine interned on the Discovery Channel series, Pop Nation, and for Sono Luminus and Dorian Recordings in their video production department. In January 2007, she and her mother started their own film production company, Mary Productions LLC, which is dedicated to making spiritual films for Our Blessed Mother.
